Summary: What Should I Feed My Dog?
This course is taught by Dr. Elizabeth Racine, DVM. Dr. Racine is a small animal general practice veterinarian with a special interest in canine and feline nutrition.
All of the information in this course comes directly from board-certified veterinary nutritionists, scientific studies, and industry regulations. At the end of each section, you'll be provided with a list of resources should you be interested in researching a topic further.
You'll learn everything you need to know to make an educated decision about your dog's diet, including how to read a pet food label, what pitfalls to avoid, how to find a reputable pet food company, how much to feed your dog, and more.
While we do use some real products as examples in this course, we do not recommend or endorse any brand or product. Our goal is for you to learn to make your own decisions about your dog's diet using evidence-based nutrition information!
Good nutrition must be based on the individual. There's no one diet that's best for all dogs, just like there's no one diet that's best for all humans. The best diet for your dog depends on your dog's age, activity level, body condition score, and health status. Don't worry - we'll teach you about all of this in the course!
